ABOUT ME

I was born in Teramo in 1995. In 2014, after high school, I moved to Rome to attend medical studies. I approached ceramics for fun in 2020, devoting myself to it with more concreteness only from 2022. I work uniquely at the bench and prefer the coiling technique as it is more permissive and suitable for the construction of irregular forms. Taking inspiration from the formal cues offered by my field of work, I make dreamlike anatomical chimeras: shapeless, oblique entities, somewhere between the figurative and abstract dimensions, exploring the concept of Baroque in a contemporary way. The exaggeration of deformity in the everyday object such as the “vase,” often emerges through envelopes of heterogeneous materials such as nylon, cellophane and synthetic guts: an ex-peau-sition of parts and pieces that claim to emerge.
